Welcome and thank you for your interest in Rosie Air. We are based out of Clinton, Missouri next to Lake Truman about 70 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri. Your pilot, Michael Rosiere is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor and an FAA Certified Light Sport Aircraft Mechanic. Come enjoy a Discovery Flight in our FAA Certified Amphibious Aircraft.
Your discovery flight will start with a pre-flight checklist to become familiar with the Cygnet Amphibious trike. After going over all safety requirements we take a rather fun taxi down the runway, an effortless takeoff and then climb to a comfortable cruising altitude. You will feel the excitement of the air in an open cockpit as we fly over the beautiful landscape to Lake Truman where we will do some touch and goes off the lake, low level flight over the lake, and also land on the water where you can then experience a take off from the Lake. Finally, we return to the airport for an easy landing and a quick wrap-up. At this point you will probably be thinking about your next flight! Every Discovery Flight you will also be given the opportunity to take the flight controls (under direct supervision) and experience first hand what it feels like from the pilot's perspective. Your Discovery flight comes with a certificate officially logging your first flight hour of training if you later wish to pursue your pilot's license.

Trike flying is an experience in freedom and excitement that is unmatched in any other activity. Small, light aircraft offer skilled pilots the opportunity to fly with almost no restriction, sitting in the open air, free to touch the wind in ways not imagined until experienced. Trikes take off and land at public airports, private airstrips, and on water with our Cygnet Amphibious Trike which is equipped with Floats. Flying just a few feet off the ground or water, up to a thousand feet or more above the ground, trikes offer a range of diversity that continually offers challenge, inspiration, and pure joy.
Trikes use a wing similar to a hang glider, with a sturdy lower carriage equipped with a motor, wheels, instruments, GPS, and seating for two. With your hands on the control bar, trikes let you feel the air as you carve through crisp mornings, warm afternoons, and soft evenings, giving the illusion that the wings are extensions of your arms. This natural flight control, combined with instruments and radio communications, is a magical combination of simplicity and technology that makes trike flying one of the most gratifying forms of aviation.
Like other forms of aviation, trike flying has matured into a reliable, safe form of recreation. This maturity is due to the creation of extensive pilot training and support programs, and also to the improvement in building materials and techniques. Decades of dedication to the development of trikes and trike pilots has made our form of flying one of the safest adventures you will ever undertake.
